PURPOSE: A dimming control apparatus and a method thereof are provided to conveniently control the brightness of a lamp gradually by controlling the on/off of power of the lamp depending on the touch of a power pad, and by controlling the illumination of the lamp depending on the touch of a dimming pad. CONSTITUTION: A dimming control apparatus(100) comprises a power pad(110), the dimming pads(120-1, 210-11), and the display lamps(130-1, 130-11). The power pad is arranged in a central part of a user interface part of the dimming control apparatus, and is implemented as a touch panel. The lamp is turned on/off depending on the touch of the power pad. Each of the dimming pad is arranged in the direction in which the illumination of the lamp gradually increases. The display lamps are turned on/off depending on the touch of the dimming pads.
