PURPOSE: Article storage facility is provided to simply calculate a time when an article maintaining part is protruded from a retreated position. CONSTITUTION: Article storage facility comprises a moving base, a transfer device(11), and a driving control system(H). The moving base moves in front of a receiving shelve, in which multiple receiving parts are arranged, in the arrangement direction of the receiving parts. The transfer device transfers articles between the moving base and the receiving parts while moving between a retreated position where an article maintaining part is retreated toward the moving base and a protruded position where the article maintaining art is protruded toward the receiving parts. The driving control system controls the movement of the moving base and the article maintaining part.
