A wheel assembly installed on a high chair leg comprising a casing 324 with a wheel member 315 disposed in the casing and having an element 312 protruding from the casing and connected to the leg 22, a resilient member 322 elastically disposed between the casing 324 and the wheel mechanism 315 and a brake member 321 wherein the brake member 321 is arranged to slide between the leg member 22 and the casing 324 such that the casing 324 is raised or lowered relative to the leg member 22 depending on the position of the brake member 321 and moves between a position wherein the wheel 315 will contact the ground and one where the casing 324 will contact the ground in use. The brake member 321 may have an inclined element 321b which allows the casing 324 to slide between two levels. A wheel spindle 312 may extend through the brake member 321. The wheel 315 may be arranged to pivot.
