An absorption medium for deacidifying fluid streams, comprises at least one aliphatic amine and at least one non-hydroquinoid antioxidant. An independent claim is included for a process for deacidifying a fluid stream comprising at least one absorption step in which the fluid stream is brought into intimate contact with the absorption medium.
