The turbocharger (10) has a turbine housing, which has two units (11A,11B). The units are arranged to a common central axis (23). The central axis corresponds to gas passage directions (13,15) through the turbocharger. The units of the turbine housing are screwed together. A thermal insulation is inserted between the two units of the turbine housing. The insulating mats or insulating shells are made from fiber fabric or mineral fibers, for example glass, silicate or ceramic fibers.
