PURPOSE: An organic vehicle for electroconductive paste is provided to conduct fine line printing by having a low viscosity and to have optimum stability when coupling with metallic particles. CONSTITUTION: An organic vehicle for electroconductive paste comprises a binder which comprises polyvinylpyrrolidone, polymethyl methacrylate, or polyvinyl butylate; a surfactant; and an organic solvent; and additionally comprises a viscoelasticity control agent. The surfactant is selected from a hydroxy functional carboxylic acid ester which contains a pigment affinity group; an acrylate copolymer which contains a pigment affinity group; a modified polyether which contains a pigment affinity group; or compounds which contain a pigment affinity group. The electroconductive paste comprises a metallic particle, glass frit, and the organic vehicle.
