TOUCH SENSING APPARATUS AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A touch sensing device and an operation method are provided to maximize time interval included in a sleep mode, thereby reducing the amount of power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A panel unit(310) includes first and second electrodes(320,330) which are intersected to each other. A circuit unit applies a first driving signal to first electrodes and detects a sensing signal from the second electrodes. A control unit controls an operation of the circuit unit. The control unit allows the circuit unit to apply the first driving signal to the first electrodes at the same time during a first interval corresponding to a sleep mode. The control unit allows the circuit unit to detect a first sensing signal from the second electrodes. The control unit determines the release of the sleep mode by determining existence of effective touch input during the first interval.
