PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for partially launching a ship in a dry dock are provided to remove a deballasting work in additional ballasting works and resetting works. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for partially launching a ship in a dry dock(10) comprises a bogie(16), multiple lifting actuators(20), pressure control valves(28), pressure sensors(20a), and a control unit(32). The bogie is moved by moving wheels(18) in the dry dock. The lifting actuators are installed on the top of the bogie and vertically move to load points positioned in the lower part of a partially launched hull(14). The pressure control valves are installed in a hydraulic pipe(26) to control hydraulic pressure. The pressure sensors sense the pressure of the load points of the partially launched hull. The control unit controls the pressure control valves based on the pressure of the load points detected by the pressure sensors.
