PURPOSE: A multimedia content generation device using play data of an online game and a method thereof are provided to generate multimedia data by combining metadata with a screen shot of the online game or a replay video, thereby connecting the multimedia data and an SNS(Social Network Service). CONSTITUTION: A metadata generation unit(140) generates metadata from play data collected in a virtual server(120). A content generation unit(130) generates multimedia content by using the collected play data and combines the metadata with the multimedia content. An SNS posting unit(150) transmits the multimedia content with online game account identification information of a game client or player character identification information.
