PURPOSE: A display device and an operating method thereof are provided to improve display quality by minimizing changes of a data voltage by outputting the data voltage by reducing a slew rate in an output buffer. CONSTITUTION: A display area(300) includes gate lines(G1-Gn), data lines(D1-Dm+1), and pixels. A gate operating unit(500) applies a gate voltage to the gate lines. A data operating unit(460) applies a data voltage to the data lines. A signal control unit(600) controls the data operating unit and the gate operating unit. The signal control unit changes a slew rate of an output buffer of the data operating unit according to an image pattern.
