HIGH-EFFICIENCY AND RAPID METHOD FOR PRODUCING TRANSGENIC RICE PLANT USING GERMINATING RICE SEEDS AND THE PLANT THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for rapidly producing a transgenic rice plant using germinating seeds is provided to effectively shorten time for preparing callus, to minimize variant generation rate, and to obtain high efficiency rice plants using Agrobacterium. CONSTITUTION: A method for rapidly producing a transgenic rice plant comprises: a step of dipping coat-removed seeds in a liquid medium(N6 medium) containing 2.5-3.5 of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid at 28-32 deg. C for 18-30 hours; a step of co-culturing a plant expression vector containing the seeds and a foreign gene with Agrobacterium tumefaciens in a co-culture medium at 23-27 deg. C for 5-10 days; and a step of inducing callus in a N6 medium containing 300-500mg/L of carbenicillin and 2.5-3.5mg/L of 2,4-D at 30-34 deg. C for 5-10 days. The co-culture medium contains 1-10g/L of gelite, 0.7-1.3mM of DTT(dithiothreitol), 2.5-3.5mg/L of AgNO3, 2.5-3.5mg/L of 2,4-D, and 5-25mg/L of acetosyringone.
