PURPOSE: A device for transmitting data and a method thereof are provided to improve a data reception performance. CONSTITUTION: A server control unit(122) receives a data transmission request from a portable terminal. The server control unit transmits the received data transmission request to a data server. A connection confirmation unit(124) confirms a heterogeneous handover of the portable terminal. A communication unit(130) performs communication with the portable terminal and the data server. The server control unit transmits buffering data to the portable terminal when the portable terminal terminates second communication connection.
