In a pellet mill comprising two rotatable rollers (as 25) mounted as a fixed carrier 5 and encircled by a perforated pressmould 17, the pressmould is centred and held in place on a carrier 10 by means of a replaceable wear ring 18 which assists in taking up the forces imposed on the pressmould. The carrier 10 is rotated by a pulley 9 rotatably mounted on a fixed shaft 6 carrying the carrier 5. A doughy substance e.g. cattle feed is fed in in directions 28, 29 as the pressmould rotates and the substance is forced between the rollers and mould and out through perforations 21. |
