PURPOSE: A tutoring system having information reproduction function using book type teaching material is provided to enable a tutor to proceed learning of a corresponding zone by selecting a specific learning zone freely, and to perform in-depth study easily by controlling sound and video separately. CONSTITUTION: A tutoring system having information reproduction function using book type teaching material includes a set top box of a tutor, a set top box of a learner, a book type tutoring material and an electronic pen. The set top box for a tutor stores electronic books and supplementary materials. The book type teaching material is written with contents corresponding to the electronic book, and a dot code is formed in the learning zone of each page. The electronic pen reads the dot code of the corresponding learning zone and plays the sound of the corresponding learning zone, and transmits a video code of the corresponding learning zone to the set top box for a tutor and a learner. Each display device connected to the set top boxes of the tutor and the learner displays the content of the learning zone selected through the electronic pen.
