摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition control apparatus capable of surely generating spark discharge if an ignition plug smolders. <P>SOLUTION: A bias voltage is applied to a first electrode 101a of the ignition plug 101 and a current detection device 104 detects a current that flows in the first electrode 101a. A smolder level detection device 105 detects the level of a smolder produced in the ignition plug 101 based on the value of the detected current. A control device 103 controls, based on the detected smolder level, at least one of the timing of ignition, the number of ignition events per power stroke of an internal combustion engine 100, and the amount of energy accumulated in an ignition coil device 102, so as to perform the ignition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
