<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely simplified integral structure elastic buffer member that is excellent in not only wear resistance but also shock resistance as well as buffer function. <P>SOLUTION: The integral structure elastic buffer member is obtained by being provided with a rubber core material 1 in the center thereof around which a spiral reinforcing material 2 comprising wires is spirally wound; and by coating peripheries of the rubber core material 1 and spiral reinforcing material 2 with a synthetic rubber elastic material 3. Since the peripheries of the rubber core material 1 and the spiral reinforcing material 2 comprising wires are coated with the synthetic rubber elastic material 3, the elastic buffer member is provided with elasticity and excellent in the wear resistance and shock resistance in addition to the buffer function. This achieves the extremely simplified integral structure thereof. The buffer function of the elastic buffer member is derived from the need to prevent deformation of the synthetic rubber elastic material 3 coating the outside thereof in such a state that the spiral reinforcing material 2 comprising wires is changed from a spiral shape to a straight line when applying a tensile load to the elastic buffer member.
