<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method with which an inspection object can be inspected over the wide range including the vicinity of an oscillation spot of guide waves. <P>SOLUTION: A first inspection device and a second inspection device are prepared. The first inspection device inspects a tubular or stick-like inspection object using L-mode guide waves. The second inspection device inspects the inspection object using T-mode guide waves. One of the first and second inspection devices is assembled to the inspection object, guide waves are generated by the inspection device and the reflection waves thereof are detected. Next, the one inspection device is exchanged with the other inspection device so as to assemble the other inspection device at the spot where the one inspection device has been assembled, in the inspection object.
