<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which shortens adjustment work time of a projection position. <P>SOLUTION: The projector comprises: a light source; a liquid crystal light valve 330 for modulating a light flux emitted from the light source; an external housing for storing the light source and a light modulation device; a cooling fan for cooling the inside of the external housing; and a control section 51 for controlling the rotating speed of the cooling fan. The control section 51 has a normal mode for controlling the rotating speed for cooling the light source and the liquid crystal light valve 330, and an auxiliary mode for controlling the rotating speed of the cooling fan so that the rotating speed becomes a rotating speed different from the rotating speed in the normal mode under the same environment as the normal mode based on a temperature in the external housing after the projector has started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
