<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element drive device which can ensure desired picture quality and video performance corresponding to the display image of an image display unit while reducing power consumption, even when variation occurs in the Vf of a plurality of light-emitting element arrays. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting element drive device includes a plurality of light-emitting element arrays each consisting of one light-emitting element or a plurality of light-emitting elements connected in series, a power supply circuit supplying a voltage to the plurality of light-emitting element arrays, a plurality of constant current drive circuits supplying a constant current to each light-emitting element array, a forward voltage difference circuit detecting the difference of forward voltage of each light-emitting element array on the basis of the parameters in each constant current drive circuit, and a control circuit controlling the amount of current supplied to each light-emitting element array and a duty value, on the basis of a standard amount of current and a standard duty value determined from the image data, and the difference of forward voltage of each light-emitting element array. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
