<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a clutch mechanism provided for neutral control. <P>SOLUTION: A forward clutch 54 of a forward/reverse switching mechanism 14 includes a built-in spring 67 for energizing a hydraulic piston 64 in an engaging direction. The forward clutch 54 during the stop of an engine is thereby held in a sliding state or an engaging state to restrain the engaging shock of the forward clutch 54 accompanied by the restart of the engine. Furthermore, an input clutch 15 is provided for neutral control at the stop of the engine, and the input clutch 15 is provided with an electromagnetic driving part 44. Consequently, even at the stop of the engine when control oil pressure cannot be obtained, the input clutch 15 is released using the electromagnetic driving part 44 to permit neutral control. An energizing path 83 connected to the electromagnetic driving part 44 is provided with a relay 84, and the relay 84 is cut off when a control circuit 82 is abnormal.
