<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a depilator which prevents hair from remaining unshaved due to physical interference caused by restriction in attitude of a head relative to the body and is downsized by restraining the head from projecting. <P>SOLUTION: The depilator includes the body 1 having a grip portion 10, a head 47 having a depilation blade 56, and a driving portion 20 for driving the depilation blade 56. The body 1 has an extended portion 15 for supporting the head 47 at one end, and the direction of extension from one end of the extended portion 15 is defined as an extension direction Ax. The depilation blade 56 has a cutting width, and the direction of the head 47 along the cutting width is defined as a width direction. The depilator includes a rotation mechanism portion 35 having a rotation center perpendicularly crossing the extension direction Ax, rotating the head 47 at the rotation center, relative to the body 1, and switching the width direction between a condition parallel with the extension direction Ax and a condition perpendicular to the extension direction Ax. While the width direction of the head 47 is parallel with the extension direction Ax, an external surface of the head 47 is flush with the inside of the body 1 or an external surface of the body 1 when viewed in the extension direction Ax. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
