PURPOSE: An access management unit control method using a mobile phone and an access management unit thereof are provided to improve security level by eliminating the need of an input/output device like a keypad or an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) for a user or an administrator. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone(170) includes a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) interface part(213), a phone-side connection control part(221), and a settings control part(223). The wireless LAN interface part is connected with an access management unit through a wireless LAN according to a wireless LAN protocol. The phone-side connection control part enters into the administrator mode of one among the access management units connected to an administrator network. The settings control part displays a screen for the control of the administrator mode of the access management unit, receives user settings from an input part and provides to the connected access management unit, and then changes settings. The phone-side connection control part broadcasts a predetermined message to the administrator network, connects to one among the access management units responded to the broadcast message, and forms a wireless channel.
