PURPOSE: A positioning ring setting device for a drill bit is provided to automatically set the positioning ring by positioning the positioning ring at a constant distance from a cutting front end of the drill bit. CONSTITUTION: A positioning ring setting device for a drill bit comprises a turntable(100), a drill bit push bar(200), an optical test unit, and a positioning ring mobile unit(400). The turntable horizontally rotates. The turntable includes a drill bit holder(110) in each rotational direction. The drill bit push bar moves the drill bit(10) mounted on the drill bit holder. The drill bit push bar moves the positioning ring mobile to the other side. The optical test unit films the cutting front end of the drill bit which is mounted on the drill bit holder. The positioning ring mobile unit moves a positioning ring(13) to one side and sets the position.
