摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively achieve excellent low friction resistance and wear resistance by providing a sliding mechanism comprising a lubricating oil composition for a low-friction sliding material having both excellent low friction resistance and wear resistance when used as lubricating oil for a low-friction sliding material, and a sliding material having excellent low friction resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In the sliding mechanism, lubricating oil is interposed to a sliding surface for two sliding materials to slide to each other. The lubricating oil is made of a lubricating oil composition containing an organic molybdenum compound which has a nitrogen (N) atom and/or an oxygen (O) atom in a molecule and may have a sulfur (S) atom in the molecule and which has a sulfur content of less than 0.5 mass% with regard to the compound. An amorphous carbon film is formed on the sliding surface of at least one of the two sliding materials.
