<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system and a communication device, capable of reducing power consumption when charging from a power supply device to a power storage device by connecting, through a feeder line, the power supply device to a vehicle including the power storage device, a charge control device for charge control, and a communication device communicable with the charge control device and the power supply device. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device initiates an out-of-vehicle communication unit and switches a communication function to an on-state (step S2). By monitoring a charge control state, the communication device stops the out-of-vehicle communication unit and switches the communication function to an off-state (step S11) when determining that charging is completed (step S10: YES), determining that charging is started without communication of the out-of-vehicle communication unit with the power supply device (step S15: YES), determining that charging is started without control of the charge control device (step S16: YES) or determining that the occurrence of abnormality possibly exists (step S19: YES). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
