FIBROUS ELECTRODE FOR PRIMARY BATTERY AND PRIMARY BATTERY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a primary battery which is shaped in a fibrous form and which contributes to the increase in the output and capacity of a primary battery when it is used in the battery, and to provide a primary battery with the electrode.

SOLUTION: The electrode (1, 2) used for a primary battery (C) comprises: a current collector (3, 5) made of a conductive fibrous material; and an active material layer (4, 6) deposited on the surface of the current collector. The active material layer (4, 6) is a coating layer formed on the surface of the current collector by performing an electrolytic deposition or electrolytic plating on a spread bundle of the fibrous material.
