<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olivine type silicate compound such as Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>FeSiO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, exhibiting crystal orientation with extremely high uniformity and useful as a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery, and to provide a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery and a method for producing the positive electrode active material for a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: An olivine type silicate compound is represented as Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>MSiO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>(in the formula, M represents one or two or more kinds of elements selected from among Fe, Ni, Co and Mn), and has a peak intensity ratio of a (010) surface to a (011) surface of 0.6 times or more, in an X-ray diffraction pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
