PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively separating radioactive substances from soil contaminated with radioactive substances.
SOLUTION: Soil contaminated with radioactive substances is soaked in ammonia water or an aqueous solution containing ammonium salt for a prescribed period of time. Then, attrition processing in which the soil is stirred, soil grains are rubbed together, and the surface is ground is performed. After the attrition processing is completed, water is added to the soil, and fine grains in the soil are separated together with water. In the soaking processing, the soil is contained in a mesh container 2 using a meshed sheet or a panel member having many small holes for a bottom surface and the whole or a part of a peripheral surface, and the mesh container is immersed in an immersion tank 1 for storing ammonia water or an aqueous solution containing ammonium salt. After the immersion processing, the mesh container storing the soil is pulled up from the immersion tank, the immersion processing agent, such as ammonia water, is flown down to adjust the solid/solution ratio of the soil between 1:0.1 and 1:0.2, and a mixer 3 is used to perform attrition processing.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
