<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating a length of steel wire capable of easily and accurately evaluating a length of each steel wire composing a bundle of paralleled steel wires, and to provide a method of winding a plurality of steel wires in approximately the same length with less errors by use of the above evaluating method, and to provide a wound product by use of the above winding method. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method of evaluating a length of each steel wire 1 that composes a bundle of paralleled steel wires. With the bundle of steel wires 10 being bridged between two support points X-Y with a horizontal distance of S and the same height and with one end of the bundle of steel wires being fixed and with a constant tension being applied to another end, a difference d between the height of the support points and the lowest height of a curve defined by each steel wire is measured.
