<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying mechanism that can blow airflow more uniformly onto a printed sheet when drying the printed sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes an inkjet-type printhead and a drying part 8 which dries a sheet printed by the printhead. The drying part 8 has: a fan 37 which produces airflow; conveying rollers which support a sheet; and a flow path which is provided along one surface of the sheet and allows airflow to pass in a direction crossing the sheet conveying direction. The flow path includes: a first inclined surface 50, which is inclined with respect to the surfaces of the sheet supported by the conveying rollers, and directs airflow toward the one surface of the sheet; and a second inclined surface 51, which is inclined with respect to the surfaces of the sheet supported by the conveying rollers, directs airflow toward the one surface of the sheet, is located downstream relative to the first inclined surface 50 in the flow path, and has a smaller inclination angle than that of the first inclined surface 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
