The device (1) for storing compact discs (10) is used for storing flat articles, in particular optical data carriers and comprises a base (20) and a stack (70) of supports (100, 200, 300 and 400) which is arranged on the base, wherein the supports are disposed one above the other in such a way that the upper support rests on the lower supports. The supports (100, 200, 300 and 400) are provided with areas which are used for accommodating compact discs (10) and arc positioned one above the other. The device is designed so that said areas can be withdrawn from the stack (70) by turning the supports (100, 200, 300 and 400) about an axis (L1) which is situated beyond the areas. The device (1) comprises a fixing pin (6) which is joined to the base (20) and is positioned along the axis (L1). The Fixing pin (6) is in contact with the supports (100, 200, 300 and 400) in the initial position thereof in order to limit the rotation of the supports. Furthermore, the neighboring, i.e., directly adjacent supports (100 and 200, or 300 and 300, or 300 and 400, or 400 and 100) are brought into contact with the sections of the fixing pin (6) in such a way that the rotation thereof in the mutually opposite directions is limited. Said stop prevents the possibility of the undesired withdrawal of the supports (400 or 200, or 100 and 300), which are adjacent to the support (100, 200, 300 and 400), when the latter is withdrawn from the stack. |
