The present patent refers to a bio-micro-electro-mechanical device coupled to a wireless communication system for monitoring and detecting in real time pollutants in a solution by means of a surface Plasmon resonance comprising: a micro-pump for allowing a sample to pass through a micro-channel, which is covered by a bio-receptor so that when the sample is brought into contact with the micro-channel the surface plasmon resonance is produced, refracting the incident light to different angles, the ratio between the incident light and refracted light being measured by an optical detection unit, which is transmitted to a transducer as an electrical signal that is subsequently sent to a network card configured with a set of wireless communication protocols that enables the communication between two or more computers or equipments in which the detection result is displayed in real time. The bio-reactor comprises at least a biologically active entity such as immobilised enzymes, antibodies, nucleic acids amongst others; and the pollutants in solution refers to polluting trace compounds present in wastewaters.
