PURPOSE: A mutant gene related to biosynthesis of cellulase and 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase, a mutant strain containing the same, and a method for preparing cellulase and 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase using the mutant strain are provided to efficiently enhance production and secretion of industrial enzyme by developing the strain. CONSTITUTION: A mutant gene related to biosynthesis of cellulase and 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase has a base sequence of sequence number 1. Mutant Xanthomonas oryzae contains the gene. The mutant strain is Xanthomonas oryzae KKU01(deposit number KACC 91682P). A composition for preparing cellulase contains the strain or a culture medium thereof as an active ingredient. A method for preparing cellulase comprises a step of culturing the strain in a medium and isolating cellulase. A method for preparing 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase comprises a step of culturing the strain in the medium and isolating 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase.
