<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter imparted with a function of a self-power generation type solar cell, which can afford a part of or whole of the power for display driving in a conventional transmissive liquid crystal display having a backlight. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter for a transmissive liquid crystal display includes a transparent conductive film, a colored pixel layer and a transparent conductive film successively layered on one surface of a transmissive substrate.
