<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly read target bar codes even in the case of a bar code surface on which a plurality of bar codes are mixed. <P>SOLUTION: One standard ST<SB POS="POST">0</SB>crossing the arrangement direction of bars of bar code symbols is set as a standard for regulating bar codes to be an object for decoding processing.
