<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction stirring and joining apparatus capable of suppressing cost increase and pressing a workpiece while preventing damage. <P>SOLUTION: The friction stirring and joining apparatus includes: a tool holder 12; and a pressing unit 13 installed ahead in the direction of joining by a tool 11 held by the tool holder 12 for pressing a junction surface of a joined member W1. The pressing unit 13 includes: a load imparting section 30 that imparts a load toward the joined member W; a first roller 33 installed between the load imparting section 30 and the tool 11 held by the tool holder 12 and abutting on the junction surface in the joined member W1; a second roller 34 installed on the side opposite to the first roller 33 with respect to the load imparting section 30 and abutting on the surface of the joined member W; and a support portion 32 attached to the load imparting section 30 and supporting the first roller 33 and the second roller 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
