<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of valve stick by forcibly switching the state of a changeover valve in appropriate timing. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a hydraulic control apparatus which when any abnormality occurs in a hydraulic circuit, turns off all solenoid valves thereby operating a clutch apply relay valve with signal pressure from a linear solenoid valve SLT, and consequently supplies line pressure PL to a clutch. When an accelerator position Acc exceeds a threshold value Accref under R position and a vehicle speed V is equal to or higher than a threshold value Vref (S140, S150), valve stick suppression control is executed to forcibly operate the linear solenoid valve SLT (S160-S180), using the signal pressure from the linear solenoid valve SLT.
