<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a glass plate and then provide a high-strength roof tile using the glass plate. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the roof tile comprises the steps of: forming the glass plate from molten glass obtained by melting a glass raw material; cutting the glass plate to form a blank 4 of the roof tile; placing the blank 4 of the roof tile in a roof tile mold 7; heating and pressure-molding the blank; and subjecting the blank to reinforcing treatment. The reinforcing treatment comprises: heating the blank 4 of the roof tile at 700°C to 800°C; and then spraying cool air to the blank 4 of the roof tile to quench the blank to 200°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
