<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive substance decontamination system and a decontamination method capable of efficiently separating and collecting radioactive substances from contaminated soil or sludge by small energy consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The radioactive substance decontamination system includes: a reactor 3 (3A) including a heating separator 4 (4A) for separating radioactive substances from particulates by heating the particulates contaminated with the radioactive substances, melting at least a part of the heated particulates and evaporating the radioactive substances included in the particulates; and means 5, 6, 71, 72, 8, 9 for collecting vapor of the radioactive substances from the reactor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
