PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to prevent damages on other components by heat, when welding a cover element. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(101) comprises: an electrode assembly which includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode; a case(30) which has a space accommodating the electrode assembly; terminals(21, 22) which are insert-mounted to the mounting side of the case; and a covering element(40) coupled to an opening of the case. The electrode assembly is formed by being wound around a standard shaft. The electrode assembly is arranged to cross the opening. The cover element is attached to the opening by welding. |
