<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having no deterioration in capacity maintaining ratio even after charge/discharge cycles. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a negative electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including the negative electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery. The negative electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery includes a negative electrode mixture layer formed on a collector. The negative electrode mixture layer includes a first particle and a second particle, the second particle is a carbonaceous material capable of occluding and releasing Li ions, a hardness of the first particle is higher than that of the second particle, and an average particle size of the first particle is larger than that of the second particle and 1/2 or less of a thickness of the negative electrode mixture layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
