<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio base station in which the number of optical components used is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: A radio base station 100 according to the present invention comprises a centralized radio base station 101 and a plurality of remote base stations 103a to 103c which are connected to the centralized base station via a fiber optic transmission line 105. The remote base stations 103a to 103c each include: a radio unit, used to down-convert a radio signal received from a mobile station 110 into an intermediate frequency signal, which is composed to generate an intermediate frequency signal in different frequency bands for each of the remote base stations 103a to 103c; and an electric-optic conversion unit which converts the intermediate frequency signal into an optical signal. The centralized base station 101 includes: one photoelectric conversion unit which converts a plurality of optical signals received from the plurality of remote base stations via couplers 107a to 107c into an electric signal; and a baseband unit which separates the electric signal in frequency corresponding one for one to the remove base stations 103a to 103c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
