<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing liquid on the surface of a plate, which generates little noise, uses little energy wastefully, has low possibility of re-contamination of a steel plate surface, useable for a wide steel plate and is durable to long-term continuous use, and to provide a method for removing the liquid on the surface of the steel plate. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for removing liquid on the surface of the steel plate is adopted, which includes: a drain roll 3 which includes in the surface 3a thereof, a porous elastic body layer 2 that can absorb the liquid 12 stuck to the surface 11a of the plate; and a squeeze roll 4 which is pressed against the drain roll 3 so as to crush the porous elastic body layer 2. The apparatus 1 for removing the liquid on the surface of the steel plate is constituted in such away that the liquid 12 which is squeezed from the porous elastic body layer 2 by means of the squeeze roll 4 is discharged along the direction of the rotating shafts of the squeeze roll 4 and the drain roll 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
