<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray computer tomographic imaging apparatus capable of achieving a new technique for reducing streak artifact; and a method for operating the X-ray computer tomographic imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray computer tomographic imaging apparatus includes: acquiring actual measurement data by executing helical scanning using an X-ray tube for emitting a cone-like X-ray and a detector in which a plurality of detection element arrays each including a plurality of detection elements are arranged in a column direction; upsampling the actual measurement data in the column direction in order to acquire interpolation data by using a sampling pitch reduced at the vicinity of a predetermined detection element array; deciding weighting coefficients for the actual measurement data and the interpolation data respectively, based on a predetermined cone beam weighting coefficient; and generating a reconstruction image reduced in streak artifact by executing image reconstruction using the weighting coefficients, the actual measurement data and the interpolation data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
