<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of realizing higher picture quality of a captured image, and an imaging display system including the imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging section having a plurality of pixels each of which includes a photoelectric conversion element and a field-effect transistor; and a drive section which performs readout drive and reset drive of signal charge accumulated in the pixels by switching between On-operation and Off-operation of the transistor. The reset drive is performed plural times in one frame period intermittently, a first voltage is applied to the gate of the transistor in first reset drive of one frame period and a second voltage lower than the first voltage is applied to the gate in reset drive other than the first reset drive, to perform On-operation of the transistor. Photoelectric conversion is performed in each pixel, readout drive and reset drive of the signal charge are performed, and a captured image based on incident light is obtained.
