<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detection method capable of determining from a front face side a crack of a concrete structure, such as a railroad tie, particularly a crack occurring on a rear face side. <P>SOLUTION: The detection method detects the existence/nonexistence of a crack on a reflection rear face area by bringing an ultrasonic transmitter into contact with the surface of a concrete structure, bringing an ultrasonic receiver into contact with the surface of the concrete structure, receiving a reflection wave of the ultrasonic wave of the transmitter reflecting on the rear face of the concrete structure, and analyzing the reflecting wave received by the ultrasonic receiver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
