<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection method of tunnels and a ring for connection in which tunnels are easily joined each other and a branch/junction tunnel can be constructed without excavation. <P>SOLUTION: A connection method includes a first process of constructing a preceding tunnel T1 having a curved segment C<SB POS="POST">S</SB>and a second process of boring a following tunnel T2 toward the curved segment C<SB POS="POST">S</SB>. The first process includes the steps of forming a cutting part 10 by assembling a ring for cutting with which cutting can be performed in the curved section C<SB POS="POST">S</SB>, forming a connection part 20 by assembling a ring for connection around which a seal material is provided continuously to the cutting part 10, and forming a general part 30 by assembling a normal segment continuously to the connection part 20. In the second process, the cutting part 10 is cut to dispose an excavator M2 at the back of the connection part 20, an outer pipe is then extruded from the excavator M2, and the ring for connection is covered with the outer pipe while the inner surface of the outer pipe is in close contact with the seal material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
