<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake port for an internal combustion engine, the intake port that effectively prevents port wetting. <P>SOLUTION: The intake port for the internal combustion engine includes: a branch wall 3 that branches the downstream part into two passages 1, 2; and an injector mounting part 4 provided on the upstream of the branch wall 3. A partition wall 7 connecting an upper wall 5 and a lower wall 6 of the intake port to each other is provided on the upstream of the injector mounting part 4. Such an intake port is configured to increase the rigidity by the partition wall 7, therefore, even if the branching position P of the passages 1, 2 is moved to the downstream side, it allows to maintain sufficient strength. Consequently, it prevents the deposition of fuel, injected from an injector, on the partition wall 7 by keeping the partition wall 7 away from the injector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
