<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make disk access fast by taking a disk storage location in a data library device into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: A storage location of a disk is changed according to information recorded on the disk and a history of access to the disk. A disk predicted to be accessed next is stored in a slot in or near a data recording/reproduction device, in a disk transport device, etc. A related disk is stored at a position where the disk transport device can take it in without moving.
