<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnification observation device capable of displaying a high resolution image of an object and preventing the degradation of image quality even when the positional deviation of an imaging device occurs. <P>SOLUTION: During pixel shifting, a color CCD is moved to a plurality of positions each different by one pixel relative to an observation object with an actuator, in a state that the observation object is exposed to a single wavelength light. On this occasion, the observation object is imaged at the plurality of positions so that image data corresponding to the respective positions are created (Step S19). The occurrence of positional deviation of the color CCD for each imaging is determined based on a plurality of the created image data (Step S20). In the case of the occurrence of positional deviation of the color CCD, the image data is corrected based on the amount of positional deviation of the color CCD (Step S21).
